Testware History
Testware Associates was founded in 1994. At that time, the market for test automation tools was "heating up." We saw that many companies were making large investments on these tools but that the tools often ended up as "shelfware," sitting on a shelf, unused. Why? To make a long story short, it turns out that users of these tools really needed a programming / software development background to use the tools effectively. The tools were being purchased by companies and simply dumped in the laps of overworked, stressed-out testing teams that usually lacked formal programming experience and the time to learn these new tools. Since no one could use the tools out of the box and there was no time for training, the tools became instant shelfware.
Testware Associates is certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a woman-owned business at the national level.
Testware Vision
Testware focuses solely on software, Web and e-business testing and testing training. We're a consulting firm full of testers who want to be testers. We're not a jack-of-all-trades shop that will provide you with a warm body and "call it" a tester in response to your testing needs.
Testware offers clients increased testing effectiveness and payback through knowledge of software development and software internals. As former developers, we know what makes software and systems tick. We can analyze your application and determine the most effective and efficient approach to testing.
Testware honestly assesses client testing needs and helps wherever we can and as much as we can. We don't just look to attach a vacuum to your corporate wallet, suck your testing budget dry, and run. If we're not the right firm to address your specific testing needs, we will tell you so.
Testware knows how to break software, websites and e-business systems. We've been doing this a long time. Chances are we've already seen the bugs you're currently coding in your application.
