Testware provided several person-months of environment
& compatibility, functional,
fulfillment and performance
testing. A small portion of the work was performed onsite and the remainder
at Testware's in-house test lab.
specific tasks performed
- tested inventory maintenance administration module and auction engine
using SQL tools
- performed comprehensive functional tests for all auction functions --
registering as new user, updating an existing user's profile, positive
(allowed) bids, negative (disallowed) bids, auction closings, etc.
- designed and executed performance tests to validate system performance
under normal and peak loading
- designed and executed fulfillment tests to validate all aspects of
client's e-commerce fulfillment process -- credit card validation, credit
card charges, packing/shipping, returns, customer service, etc.
- performed environment & compatibility tests to ensure auction website
functioned in an appropriately similar manner across different Web browser
and operating system combinations
