Testware provided test planning,
test automation and functional
testing services to this client for two years.
This client did not have any internal testing resources and thus outsourced
all of its testing work to Testware.
All testing work was performed at Testware's office. Trips to the client's
site were made whenever project needs dictated in-person meetings necessary,
approximately once per month.
specific tasks performed
- established a test lab in Testware's office which replicated the production
environment
- analyzed the emergency response management software package and its
documentation, then implemented a structured testing process, including a
master test plan and detailed test procedures for functional, scenario and
installation testing
- executed test procedures
against multiple builds and reported results via email and a Web-based bug
tracking system
- worked closely with the
development team to duplicate, troubleshoot and debug problems
- performed a test automation
feasibility study; implemented automated regression test scripts for
selected parts of the software based on the study
