Testware Associates Is Helping the New Jersey Technology Council Build a Better Quality Website!

Can we be of assistance in improving the quality of your company's software, website or e-business system?

At Testware Associates, we're passionate about software quality. We are a testing services company that partners with our clients to help them build better quality software in less time. We've partnered with the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC), aiming to improve the quality and usability of the njtc.org site and increase awareness of Testware and our services among NJTC member companies.

What Testware is doing for the NJTC

Testware has completed the following activities to date:

Testware analyzed the NJTC website and wrote a comprehensive functional test plan. This plan focuses on the site links, events calendar, online event registration forms, Java applets and other areas.
During April 2001, the entire plan was comprehensively executed and defects found were reported in detail to the NJTC.
The NJTC redesigned the site during the April to August 2001 timeframe. The site's look and feel remained the same, but the backend technologies and internal site structure underwent massive changes.
Testware executed a complete regression test against the new site and reported defects to the NJTC.

Upcoming activities include:

As the NJTC Web development team fixes the defects in the September 2001 timeframe, Testware will validate the fixes by executing the corresponding sections of the test plan.
After this iterative test / fix / retest cycle ends, Testware will then shift to a regression testing mode, testing a subset of the NJTC site on a weekly basis to validate the frequent site updates and changes.

Test execution will be spread across a variety of browsers and operating systems to accomplish environment & compatibility testing. We're also implicitly checking for usability issues during test execution and fulfillment issues surrounding the event registration processing (credit card charges, email notifications, etc.). In the future, the scope of Testware's NJTC work may expand to include performance testing.

Testware can address this cyclical testing demand by taking on parts of the test effort during high demand periods, or providing test engineers to supplement your core testing staff.
