In an effort to deliver the most functionality in the shortest amount of time, businesses can be tempted to deliver complex applications with limited or no security testing. The nature of today’s ever changing technologies means that there will always be vulnerability for hackers to exploit. This one-day course provides an overview of security testing techniques to provide a basis for your security test plan.

Understand how different technologies drive different approaches to testing
Understand the basic steps in planning and conducting a security test
Be familiar with basic security testing techniques
Identify differences between client, server and network security testing
Identify some common testing tools

Audience, Prerequisites

The course is intended for testers, analysts, engineers, technical and functional managers who need to develop a general knowledge of ethical hacking and security testing to support their testing efforts.

Course Length, Format, Logistics

Course length: 1 day

Course format: lecture plus individual and group exercises and discussions.

Course logistics: Each attendee is provided with his/her own copy of the course manual and exercise set. Attendees do not need access to personal computers or workstations.

Location

Testware teaches this course (and all Testware courses) to groups of 3 or more individuals from the same company. Our instructors teach onsite (at or near your company's site) on a date convenient to your organization. Location options include, but are not limited to:

a training room in your office
a conference room in your office
a training or conference center near your office

Price:

$3,000 for class, plus $50 per student for materials.

Example: For 10 students the total for the class and materials would be $3,500.

The above pricing does not include instructor travel and subsistence expenses. These expenses will be billed to your company by Testware at cost.
